Black wheel w/polished spokes like the GT wheel?

Does anyone make a 16" or 17" wheel similar to the 18" GT wheels w/the machined edges that would fit either the 12" or 13" TCE/Willwood big brake kit?

I found these wheels on Tirerack.com, but they are soo heavy (25 lbs).

If it weren't for the weight I would buy these rims, and still might, but I would much prefer a lighter rim.

So, if you know of any alternatives, please post some links or info.

thanks!

I assume you mean like the JCW GP wheels?

There is a company that makes an 18-inch knockoff, but as far as I know, they're only sold in Great Britain. I think they're really expensive too, once you factor in the US Dollar to British Pound Sterling conversion, and then add shipping costs over the Atlantic.

I'll try to see if I can find the name of that manufacturer for you.

The company that makes them is called Worx.

More info on them on the Mini2 forums: http://www.mini2.com/forum/sale/1256...oss-black.html

Here are some pictures of them:

If you are on mini2.com, search for GP replica wheels. There are lots of articles. It seems they're made in 18 and 17 inch models. The 18's apparently weigh 9.5 kg, (20.94 lbs.) each.

Still haven't found an actual place that sells them online yet.

jonnieoh,

yep, I meant the GP model..doh.

Actually, the wheel does not have to be a GP replica, just a similar wheel that is all black and only has the spokes or spokes and lip machined so that they are not black.
