Looking for opinion on wheel size and wheels

Howdy all,

I'm looking to get some new wheels/tires for my 06 MCS. I'm looking for all flat black (no silver lip) and have come down to 2 that I like so far, but am open to suggestions on other models. I'm also debating between 16's and 17's. So any opinion/advice there is appreciated. They will be used primarily for street, maybe a little track time, but no hardcore racing.

Right now I'm debating between these 2.

O.Z. Ultraleggera 16x7

or these O.Z. Crono HT 17x7

If anyone has experience with these specific wheels, your thoughts on them would be appreciated as well.

Thanks,

both are nice. Ultraleggera's are going to be much lighter, even in 17". 17's look better, but 16's are that sweet spot for performance, tire price, etc

I'm a big fan of 5-spokers!

if they are for street time mainly, I'd go with 17's, they look way better than 16's. I really like the chronos, I've seen too many minis with the ultraleggeras (which is probably b/c they look really good, but I value originality as well)

At 22 pounds the Ultraleggeras are heavy!
Have you considered something like the Rota Slipstream?

Hmm kind of weird because if you look at the 17" Ultraleggera it lists the weight at 15.5 lbs?

I haven't looked at the Rota Slipstream. Checking the site now, but I don't see the weight anywhere? Thanks for the tip on those 84im.

imho, anything over 17lbs for wheels is not light weight, especially
wheels for our MINI's.

that's all relative. 22lb wheels in a stock size (no upsizing) for my SUV are light weight...almost exotic, but they exist (BBS RS-GT).
