R56 Is the glossy Piano Black surface easily scratched?
Yes!
Mine has some very fine marks you can see, but only when the sun hits is at certain angles.
I have only wiped it gently with a soft MF cloth.
Perhaps the silver or alloy are safer choices, it does look gorgeous though.

I occasionally wax mine (2006 Piano black - similar to the 2007 piano black, just with the addition of the colored circles). Waxing helps to fill in the fine scratches and it looks really good again after.
I use Prima Hydro on my red dash/door inserts. It does a good job of shining, protecting, & hiding scratches. Plus it smells really yummy
p.s... my red does scratch easily so I assume the black will too.

Scratches? Hmmm, I just picked up my MCS yesterday and I haven't had time to accidently scratch my piano black interior... but I'll look out for that. But it does smudge like crazy! I might just require everyone to wear laytex gloves when they ride in it!
I use a product called Plexus.
http://www.plexusplasticcleaner.com/
It's a plastic polish originally developed for aircraft canopy/screens and has made it's way into the motorcycle market.
Works great, smells good.
