Questions on Bluetooth and Sunroof

Ok does the armrest contain adapters that you can charge up your bluetooth cellphone? Also, does the sunroof have 1 touch open?? I did order bluetooth in my MINI but wondering whether the arm rest contains cradle that recharges the phone....

Don't know anything about Bluetooth (where DID they come up with that name?), but as for the sunroof, no, you have to hold the toggle.

Yes, the arm rest has a charging station for compatible cel phones. The question few seem to have an answer for, is which phones are compatible. The official list is very short and outdated.

Your comment made my curious. Wiki has the answer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetoo...e_and_the_logo

"Bluetooth was named after a late 900s king, Harald Bluetooth King of Denmark and Norway. He is known for his unification of previously warring tribes from Denmark (including Scania, present-day Sweden, where the Bluetooth technology was invented), and Norway. Bluetooth likewise was intended to unify different technologies, such as computers and mobile phones.

The name may have been inspired less by the historical Harald than the loose interpretation of him in The Long Ships by Frans Gunnar Bengtsson, a Swedish Viking-inspired novel."

My armrest doesn't have a charging station.

And the sunroof is NOT one-touch open.

Not on mine you don't - one flick of the sunroof switch puts it in tilt mode and a second flick fully opens it (same with closing)

Did you get the Bluetooth prep? You have to get that to have the charging station in the armrest.

US MINIS appear to have the one touch feature of the roof disabled. No doubt a legal issue caused because some idiot stuck their finger in the works and got hurt. Sad we get less features because of such foolishness. Btw, global warming? It is the day before Easter, and here in the DC area, it is SNOWING! Glad I still have all season gires on the MINI.

What does the inside of your armrest look like? Is there a place for your cel phone? If not, they didn't give you the Bluetooth prep.

Ah right didn't know it was disabled in the US.. The UK has gone health and safety mad so it's lucky it's still enabled over here, it must of slipped under the rule book net Have noticed that you can't operate the sunroof or windows unless the doors are shut..

My sister has bluetooth - I think you have to order the cradle separately for your particular phone..

Can't remember exactly but think it either ejects the cradle or re-syncs bluetooth..

I really hope they come up with a mod for the sunroof very soon to enable one touch opening. I can't stand holding the button not to mention it's kinda hard to do that and hold the wheel and shift at the same time. lol
