Hi fellows, I am currently using a set of Wedssport TC05 with the size of 16x7, may I ask if the tire size of 225/50/16 fit the wheels and my Mini Cooper S? Thanks a lot.

 

I know the tires will fit the rims, and quite well. I don't know how well 225s will fit your car, though. Anyone else?

 

Yes and Yes. It will fit.

The tire is little larger than stock at 24.9" but likely will fit all but the most lowered MINI.

So what is the downside to 225/50-16?
Usually more weight, about 2 more pounds than 205/55-16.
And sometimes it costs a bit more.

 

Thanks a lot! This is very helpful, much appreciate I am looking for a set of Bridgestone RE01R tires, but the problem is that the only 16' size it has , is the 225/50/16... Or 205/55/16, but everyone told me the 225 tires are better, so I think I will go for it.
