New - 07 MC convertible on the way!

Hi all! I'm pretty new to this forum, but VERY new to MINI and convertibles -- I have an 07 MC convertible in Chili Red ordered (nothing extra really, very basic... i'm not a car person/don't go needing to drive fast or anything.. just want to enjoy a ride ) and she is complete and waiting to get on a boat over! So i was wondering if anyone has any tips for me, as a first time MINI owner and this being my first convertible as well!!

Thanks
Michelle

Congrats! You'll love it. We all know Chili Red is the best color for MINIs, so good choice!

Did you get any options at all? Cold weather package, perhaps?

The only suggestions I have (so you can enjoy your MINI for a long time) are:

Get some good cleaning tools and cleaners, for both your paint and your soft top

There are MANY threads here that discuss this, but to throw out two good products:

303 Cleaner AND Protectant for your soft top.(Order Online)

Eagle One Nano Wax products for the rest of the vehicle.(PepBoys or Strauss Auto)

ALSO: Look online for a local MINI club. It is a GREAT way to enjoy your MINI even more, and a great way to meet some great people!

You are in Jersey, so go to this site: nemini.org

Welcome to the MINI WORLD!

We might as well be twins then, except mine has a few modifications from after I took delivery

Vicskimmr,
What mods have you done? Anything you've come to love/think is a must-have?

Plenty! But its all cosmetic.

Heres the newest one I'm working on. I basically am trying to remove the majority of the chrome from the car, but a lot of people love the chrome, so its all just personal preference.

Thanks! It won't take long to get the modding bug, but thats not necessarily a bad thing It just means you want to personalize your MINI.
