Is your MINI a boutique car or a road warrior?

is your car an always-garaged-and-polished beauty or/and a well-run and (visibly) well-used street brat? i think i'm turning mine into the latter

don't get me wrong, i'm gonna keep it in top mechanical shape, but i think my car's gonna end up showing at least some signs of its adventures kinda like patina on the trim and worn-out leather on an old unrestored mg

Road rat. With a 160mile/day commute, I can't help it. I still keep Basil clean and shiny, but the miles take their toll.

50 mile commute and I wash it on average about once in 2 weeks, no garage. I would like to keep it perfect, but it's too much fun to drive.

Mine's a go-everywhere car, so it's closer to road (b)rat. =o)

I wish it were a little more of the former (especially having been without it's garage for the last 9 months), but it's definitely the latter.

I just don't have the will to keep a daily driver in showroom condition.

Mines a garage queen that somehow becomes possessed when I take it out for a spin.

100% road rat that sleeps in the garage every night, washed weekly, dusted daily, quick-detailed as needed. Coming up on 100,000 km (60,000 miles) in 2 1/2 years.

Mine sleeps in a garage, but it's definitely a road rat that braves the real world all day, every day. I would have to wash it every other day to keep it clean, even though it's garaged at night.

What she said ! Change 100 to 72 though.

Clearbra + California Duster + Slick + Monster Fluffy Microfiber + Clarity + DP Glass Cloth = Beautiful Road Warrior.

Although, I will admit I'm gonna try to keep him in better shape. I took the plunge and, for the first time, ordered some Prima stuff a coupla days ago from DP.

I wash mine like I wash a dog. . . only when it NEEDS it.

But I do keep it in top mechanical condition and do my best to keep it looking as nice as I reasonably can.

Road Warrior all the way. Have the patina to prove it: those nicks are from cutting the apex a tiny bit too close to the guardrail, these nicks are from trying the dirt track, the black marks are from debris on the track, etc.

Road warrior. 105 miles daily to work and he sleeps outside everynight. I put on 22k in 7 months and more stone chips than I can count. The exterior gets cleaned once a month, it could be cleaner but I refuse to take it to a car wash.

Road warrior...but not the highway miles that I'm so envious of...a 20-minute, rough, shortcut-based and pothole-filled city street commute.

But Speedy is garaged, and he sees nothing but the best of care on weekends...

Road warrier....

now I'm thinkin of getting some touch up primer because of all the chips on the front bumper! I live in hills, go to tracks, park it outside, and drive it hard. The few times a year that I really clean it up it still looks good. But the patina is undeniable!

2 Years = 47,000mi. Road Warrior all the way!

I would love to keep it in a garage except 2 things...

1) I don't have a garage.
2) I can't stay out of it long enough to necessitate a garage!

My first MINI was a "spoiled show car" after the first 20K miles:

My Latest MINI I got JUST SO I can drive the hell out of it.....and have the fun I missed the first time around.

My friends cannot believe that I let my NEW MINI get as dirty as it does.....but this one is gonna be a "driver" not a "sitter."

Besides, Hot Orange is alot easier to keep clean than a Jet Black.
