I went to the dealer Monday with my wife. It was my third visit, her first. I think she was slightly embarassed by my behavior, the wide eyes, big grin, moving from car to car pointing out all of the differences. She said I was like a kid in a candy store. Does anyone else lose all of their self control at the dealer?

btw, I changed my order while I was there. I was never sure of a color combo, loved them all. I originally ordered ly/b but was never quite sure of myself. Then, after I saw the cr/b on the Today show I knew that was the combo for me. No looking back now. I'm glad I changed too. The dealer had a ly/b demo and the bugs on the front looked terrible.

Good choice in colors but then maybe I am a little biased.

Yes I know how you feel. I still do that and I've had my MINI for 10 months.

And good color choice, too! The red and black definitely looks sharp!

Yes I think you've just diagnosed yourself with MINI'S MADNESS. I know cause I got it too. Last Saturday I was to be in SF by 9 I left early so and stopped at the Pleasanton MINI dealer 6:30 AM. Got a chance to oogle the 8 MINI's there without the help of a sales person. My buddy and I were pointed out the differences, and having a good old time.

I learned one thing, they play that canned music all night long. and I dont want the Tan interior option. Cars without xenon lack a bulb, and the MINI comes is a super color all to itself Velvet Red.

The madness is infectious I tell ya....

Now, My (non-MINI-insane) wife now tells me whenever she sees a MINI on the way to work or out and about, and sometimes sees them first when we are together. Her MINI radar is almost as good as mine!

She did look at me a little weird when I tried to count the MINI sightings in the Italian Job trailer (I lost count due to MINI overload).

I feel just stupid being this enamored with a little car, especially considering the extreme possibility that it will let me down at least once, based on the reliability history so far. But what the heck? You only live once, why not have a little goofy car that's ridiculously fast and nimble.

Well said, BadApple - Maybe I'm getting too old to remember what Christmas morn was like when I was young, but I don't EVER recall being this geared up for something. My new arrival is in its final days now! I try not to be braggy to friends/family about it, but I can't stop talking about it and I think they grow tired. It seems all roads lead to MINI. I'm sure they are rolling their eyes when I turn my back, but I just can't get over the fact that I'll be driving one soon!!!! Will I look demented driving it alone with a big grin on my face? You went through what all of us went through. I went into the dealer with my heart set on an MCS. I drove them both and wanted a MINI, any MINI, immediately. I almost drove a MC off the lot, but all the combinations of colors and interiors saved me- I just couldn't decide. So my wife came to my rescue and convinced me to order an MCS set up just like I wanted. She was right. The wait was painful, but I am so glad I went through it.

Yep, we definately have the Mini Madness. I'm in an area where I have yet to see one on the roads, it's 2 hours to the dealer so I only go when I'm in the area.

I'm very sure of my color choice now. The funny thing is when I placed my original order I took printouts of 7 different color combinations and the cr/b combo wasn't one of them. Some of the pictures don't tell the whole story but when I saw it on the Today show I knew that was it!
