I'd be interested, but not sure that I am going to have enough room to haul my clubs and all of the other necessary items.

Unfortunately using rental clubs isn't a good option for me as I am somewhat vertically challenged and have my clubs custom fit.

Will have to see a little closer to time what the trip is actually going to look like.

Thanks, Jonathan, I'm in. This year, I'll try to get there for Thurs night, too. As the dates approach, I'll try to call and hammer the guys at the course to save us the last 10 tee times each day, or the first 10, however everyone wants to do it. Everyone has a price.

Saturday will probably be the best day for everybody's schedule, and the day to run the compitition for that nights activities. Choice parking for the night may be the best and cheapest prize we can give!

Come on, everyone. . . You scared? SIGN UP!!!!

I shot an 87 today in the city, 5 pars, 2 birds. The season is firing up.

Sure! Here's the meat and potatoes:

9700 ft. Yeeeaaauuggh.

Copper Creek Golf Club

A mix of links and mountain style holes designed by the venerable Pete and Perry Dye, Copper Creek accommodates the novice golfer from the forward tees while still providing a great test for the accomplished golfer. Spellbinding views of the 10 Mile Range provide the perfect backdrop for any golf outing and Copper Creek's outstanding service is sure to impress.

Copper Creek was awarded 3.5 stars (out of 5) from Golf Digest in its 2000 - 2001 places to play guide.
The front nine winds through natural alpine terrain, towering pines, numerous lakes and streams, all leading to rolling emerald greens that demand your best concentration. The back nine changes in character as the fairways cut through the forest and the scant remains of a 19th century mining town. Pete and Perry Dye's incorporation of the natural alpine terrain, unique use of railroad tie bulkheads and elaborate mound systems present you with thought-provoking challenges and scenic pleasures.

Some pics to wet the appitite:

I left a message with Nick Pollard, the coordinator there, and I should be hearing back from him soon. I'll try to reserve the first 10 tee times Sat the 11th for our group. Depending on how much interest we get here we can adjust that number. Hopefully we can get a group rate, and I'll try to get the guy down to $45 per person from their normal $79 rate. Maybe we'll meet in the middle around $65 or so, but every little bit helps.

More to come....

Had a birdie yesterday to start off followed by many bogies. . . Getting there.

I have group info from the course- They are ready to cater to our every need. No price info though. . . I'll see what the rates are if we can get a bunch together. They do club rentals too, so no need to pack yours in the already cramped MINI for the drive!

Bump for more MINI golfers!
