M7 16% pulley torque specs, hints on installing??

Hi guys,

I tried searching for this with no luck.

Can anyone tell me what i should torque the 4 socket head cap screws on the M7 16% pulley to? I know i should use red locktite, but not sure what they should be torqued to.

Also any one have any tips on installing one of these? I got the old one off all ready, and once I get some free time, I want to install the M7 one. (my son is only a week old, so he's taking up alot of my time ...not that i mind that. He's made me happiest father in the world.

Anyway, should I push the small piece that slides on the supercharger shaft all the way on, till it hits bottoms out on the supercharger?

I cant wait to get my car back together. I am also installing the DDM intake, cooler plugs, and an engine dampener all at the same time.

I was afraid I might not like the Cooper s, (bought it last month) as it doesn't make a lot of power, (my previous car was an 04 STI) but I LOVE it. To me its way more fun to drive than the STI. I just need to make it look alot LESS cute. Got some outmotoring light brackets, and 4 hella lights coming in the mail, so hopefully that will help out getting rid of the cuteness factor.

Thanks again for the help!

-Jay

Congrats on the newborn! I have one due any day now.

I can't remember the torque spec, but a quick call to Peter at M7 or the guys at customminishop.com/ and you will have your answer.

The pulley is self-centering, just place the hub on the SC shaft, then the pulley, line up the bolt holes and start the bolts. Everything will line up as you tighten it.

Congrats as well on the newborn and the new ride! I am having my M7 16% pulley put on the car next week. I ordered from Custom Mini shop and I'm sure if you call they will be happy to help. They have always been great for advice!

Thanks guys! My son is our first child. Came a month early...so we were not 100% prepared! He's great! Can't wait to do some cool father /son stuff with him.

Yeah I bought mine from Custom Mini shop too. Just figured while i here at the computer, someone online might know the torque specs.

Thanks again.
