R50/53 0-60 Times?
Hey,
I was just wondering what you guys are driving on your 0-60 times. I know of people that race at the tracks, and just do the math, and I was wondering. I have seen in magazines from 6.9 to 7.4 Today, I just got my Road & Track magazine, and it said 7.7 which was way out there. Does anyone know what it really is?

There's no definite answer to your question. It all comes down to skill. The test times vary for certain reasons. Like driver's ability to operate the car to max performance, track conditions(humidity, elevation, etc), tire pressure and size/weight, how far broken in the car is, and so on. There's a lot of variable involved. Not every magazine car tester is alike. Some have more skills. Other's adapt quicker to the cars' atributes. The list goes on and on.
Yes, the worst time that I've seen was the 7.7sec time.
What happened there, I dont know. Times between 6.9-7.4 are most common.
Not all testing devices are all that commonly accurate. There's a margin of error between that as well.
Cheers
