Has anyone taken their Mini in for repairs that have changed any engine items(intake,exhaust,etc).Has the dealer had any comments on the items changed??

Per Magnusson-Moss Act, the dealer has to prove that the aftermarket item caused the needed work, and therefore refuse service. So in other words, if you come in with a cracked coolant tank, they can't say the exhaust you have caused it. Or the windshield crack denied because you have an intake.

And on the happy side of all this, my dealer even investigated my cold start issue, knowing full well I have intake/pulley/exhaust. To a certain degree it depends on the dealer. I think perhaps in a couple years that the dealers will get more stringent, but right now there are so few MINIs about that any billable service time the dealer can charge to MINI they are going to take. :smile:
