My new MCS

Thought I would share a couple of pics of my new Mini. I know that looking at pics of other members new mini's help me with the waiting process Its an absolute blast to drive. All of the comments about that sport button are true...its a different car with it on. Pushing the button before take-off is going to be routine. The one time I forgot today I stalled it . Throttle response is night and day. No sunroof noise! It has the secret dash compartment! Bluetooth is really cool! Sports suspension is awesome and not harsh at all! The only thing that I will have looked at are a couple of rattles...one in the head unit and another in the back somewhere...not a big deal. Oh yeah the gear box is fantastic!!

Yes, yes, how do you like the leatherette? Are those the sport or regular seats?

Nice looking Mini! Congratulations!

I wish you many miles of happy motoring.

That's a very fine choice of color.

Hey guys...the leatherette is great. Everyone thinks they are the leather ones. They are pretty firm which i like....They feel and look super durable!! Great for my kids climbing in and out. Pictures don't do the colors justice..they are a subtle contrast.....It has the run flats on it. The ride is very good even with the 17's and sports suspension Let me know if you have any more questions!!

The car looks great. Just need to wipe off the "Beavers" logo in the garage.

How long did it take for the car to arrive in Portland after coming in to Port Hueneme? My car is currently on a ship headed for California. I'm hoping to go out on I-5 and flag down the truck and have them drop it off. Will save me from driving north from Roseburg.

I was wondering, have you driven a mcs with the 16' wheels and how they compare to the 17's, I'm thinking about getting the 17' wheels just wondering if it makes a difference in the ride? thanks

Sowellman, It got here really fast. A week before I expected it. I don't blame you..trying to get out of going to the dealer. The dealer will detail it and make sure it has all of your specs. Mine came in with the wrong wheels on it?? They had to swap them out before i picked it up.....minimartha, I didnt even drive one with 16's...didnt want them even if they did ride better. 17's look so much better I'm sure you'll like the ride of the 07.

Great looking car. Sometime I wish I would have picked the DS. I seems to be pretty popular.

thanks for the info on the leatherette. i'm glad they're firm ... and stand up to kids! i ordered 17s (flame spokes) but held off on the sports suspension. (there's always aftermarket ...)

It needs some orange stripes, or at least some black stripes with orange separation lines. (Class of '79) .

I really wanted an orange one!! Was disappointed they didnt bring it over from the rag top. Guess I'll have to settle for the sticker. Washed it today so now its raining. Have you guys tried Hydro and Slick from prima..I thought those guys on the detailing forum were crazy...the stuff is AWESOME!! Go BEAVERS baseball national champs 2006!!

I believe that the factory stripes are vinyl stickers. So, no big deal about getting aftermarket stripes. I'm thinking about DS metalflake stipes on a PS MCS.

We're taking reservations, on slots for people to move to Oregon, that is. And you thought getting a Mini slot was tough.
