Raced a full on JCW R53...

So I am not condoning speed contests but....my friend has well know JCW R53 with all the upgrades and we lined up to see how much difference there was.

His car had LSD and mine does not but he was running super low profile 18's and my stock runflats. His car has 6K miles and mine had 300 miles on the clock. He was having trouble leaving the line so we raced from a 20 roll. I beat him with my stock R56 through 1st and 2nd gear (ran out of room). He was disappointed but made the comment that his R53 didnt seem fast since he had been in the R56's so much.

I owned a R53 and think that it handled better than my 56 but the power delivery is more impressive from the turbo. I think this car will be more responsive to modding, cannot wait!

hehe your post will make you unpopular with a few on here but it confirms what I've been thinking. I've driven JCWs before and felt the r56 had more power at least until 4k rpm. I have't driven them back to back though.
