OK, here is the deal...

Well since my presence here appears to make a lot of people uncomfortable, I will step aside and let all the chips fall into place. Really, I have no business being here where my participation is no longer needed/wanted or even appreciated.

So, I will keep watching from the sidelines but I will let others take the heat when making others aware of the good and the bad that these wonderful cars have to offer.

I am excited in anticipation of my R55 Clubman S next year. I wish every new R56 owner the best of luck and many years of happy motoring.

Respectfully and yours truly,

C4

3 time + MINI oner.

Thank you and good luck with your R55. I don't envy you on the wait.

You should reconsider.... having someone with the MINI experience you have on the sidelines takes value away from this forum. Posting an opinion, experience, or relevant link on the subject matter should always be welcome. There has been some strong debate around the R56 lately, but you have always kept it focused on the car, not the person. This is the heart of what a discussion forum is all about. Stick around!

I am a Newbie, but I have read your post. Sometimes I liked what you wrote, sometimes I didn't.
I may not agree, but I appriciate the experience.
Thanks.

I think C4 is right...this forum has moved on to real issues/questions of the real-life R56 community. Those of us watching R56 for awhile have had our say...but we're now moving from theory to reality. It's time to let these folks have a place to talk w/o fundamental second-guessing...that time is over. No more reports, projections, or heresay...R56 is here, the real deal.

No doubt few of us will really be gone...I hope to order an R56 Cooper this Fall and am beside myself with excitement. Please continue sharing your experiences...they are immensely interesting. When I move towards placing my own order, no doubt you all will be the first to know (well, except for maybe OT).

Given that two threads have already gone into the ditch once today over issues surrounding this, I'm going to bring this to a close.

I wish C4 the best with his current and future MINIs and on whichever forums/sites he chooses to frequent.

Dave
