Aftermarket steering wheel hub?

Can anyone tell me where to purchase an aftermarket steering wheel hub for an 04 mini cooper S? I want to put in a MOMO steering wheel but I know I have to change the hub. Anyone with any aftermarket steering wheel that would like to provide some information, that would be great. Also how hard is it to remove the factory steering wheel and airbag? Thanks in advance

Thre is a thread with pictures on how to machine Momo Hub # 2008 to make the turn signals self cancel and the horn to work. Mine is currently out at the machine shop so I can't tell you it works but we did line it all up and make all the measurements and looks like it will.

Ahh found it, see https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...mo+hub+2008%27

I searched 'Momo hub 2008' but you would not of known that part # so may have never found it.

Motoring File I think has the direction from Mini on how to pull the airbag and wheel when changing to a JCW unit. The pulling process will be the same, just don't reverse to install.

I found this site which states that the #2008 if for a e36 bmw which would need some modifications done to it like people on this forum have done , but they also sell the #2012 which is made for the mini . Anyone had experience with that one ? I did a search and no1 so far did so I might put a order in and see if that works without doing any modifications to it.

You did see the note that stated "You may loose the horn and the turn cancel feature on some cars depending on the electric wiring of these cars."?

From my understanding, the #2012 will also need to be machined to bring back the functionality. I was told this by another vendor of the same part, not a Mini specific vendor. I did not order it since I knew the #2008 worked with some mods and I didn't want to pay shipping and restocking fees.
