The F in windshield

So, I am out motoring on Wednesday and I catch a monster rock. It leaves a small, but serious area of devastation right in my line of sight. So, on Thursday I get it replaced (windshield was old anyway). NOT EVEN 24 HOURS LATER, I get a rock in my new windshield. (face was red, language was blue!)

You know, the last time I had the windshield replaced, it caught a rock within 24 hours as well, left a nice big chip that time too. I already have anger issues and emotional demons. This ain't helping! Go ahead and add paranoia to the list I guess...

Man, that is muck luck. For many years, I'd end up with a totaled auto very soon after battery replacement. It was so predictable that it was spooky.

And I thought the bird pooping on my Audi after I washed it today was insulting.

Sorry dude.. .that sucks... maybe this one calls for a filler job instead.

Do minis get more dinged windows due to the smaller size or lower profile. Is it just bad luck.

Ug, sorry to hear that. We had to replace out windshield the first week we had the car. Just one of those fun things, I hate gravel.

This is the reason I don't get a replacement right away.

Let's sing from Hee Haw "If it weren't for bad luck... I'de have no luck at allllll!
Doom... despair... and agony on meeeee."

Somewhere there's a "brand" windsheild thread.

My little theory is that the MINI (and other small cars) are low enough that we catch more road debris at windshield height than vehicles that are taller. The second half of that theory is that there is more debris on the road at certain times. So if a windshield is replaced soon after an "incident", another could soon follow.

As far as bird poo... those sneaky little b@st@rds know when we wash the car! They're out there, just waiting for us! Feathery little sons of b...

I washed the red MINI this morning and found bird poop on it tonight after coming out of a bowling alley.

Still better than a rock I guess.

I think I'll get one of those Barn Owl decoys and strap it to my car with some baling wire. That ought to scare the little devils off!
