I don't know if anyone has heard about this yet. MINI USA is taking part in the Mitty at Road Atlanta this year. It is going to be a combination show and autocross in the turns 6 and 7 infeild.

My only problem that weekend is the SCR autocross at BMW that Sunday. Has anyone worked out a way to be in two places at onece?

I'm SO in! If you haven't been, this is a great event at a GREAT track, just a few hours away.

I'll be there, at least on Sunday for the MINI Auto-X.

Hmmmm, I might just have to cruise down for that one on Saturday. Only a little over an hour down I-85 for me.. Do we need to register or just show up?
Might be able to catch up with some MINI friends from the ATL MINIs club. I might have to jump over to the OL and see what's up from that end...
Anyone going down from Charlotte, let me know, maybe we can meet up at SC exit 40 and caravan on down..

Does anyone have any more information on what MINIUSA will be doing at The Mitty? I intend to be there on Saturday, but the information I'm getting from the event website doesn't seem to be complete.

 

My buddy in ATL who's been to many of these told me we're not driving OUR cars, we're driving theirs, and they're automatics to make it "user friendly".

I'll probably still go down for it, the Mitty is supposed to be a good time on its own...

 

I am with you the site has alot of info, but nothing permanent? I would consider showing my BLUCOOPR but there is no specifics, like dates and times and how to sign up? Oh well I will go to the Mooresville NC Car Show.

 

Anybody heading down for this? If so, when? I'm still debating...7 hours round trip for me...

Just decided to commit! Going down Saturday early, for a long day. Anybody else?

Thanks for posting all of the pictures, Dave. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to meet up with you and the rest of the crew. I had a good time with my family, though. The official MINIUSA presence on Saturday seemed disorganized, but there were still a large number of Minis and MINIs at the Mitty.

I definitely plan to return next year. By then, I should have my MINI and can join in the fun. My minivan would have looked out of place, but we did cheer and honk for the minivans that were brave enough to get out on the track.
