Hi guys, I have been swamped at work and not having a Mini has made it tough to go on the boards. Fireballed just delivered the my new 20 over pistons to the machine shop where the motor will be balanced. I just ordered a new OBX header since my Larini and OEM headers both melted. Johnny is telling me the car should be ready in 12days, after that I will need to be tuned so this doesn't happen again. I'm having a new quatife and clutch installed at the same time to save on some future labor.
Thanks for thinking of me.

Good to hear from you man! Sounds like things are coming along nicely. Good luck and let us know when you're having fun with the 'new' MINI.

Mario,
When all is done, can you give us summary of the problems, fixes and your impressions.
You seem to be on the cutting edge and your experience in one post would be very helpful to me.
thanks

Hey MarioKart,

I just reviewed your horror story: #1 piston failure. Sooooo sorry to hear. Did you ever check to see if your #1 fuel injector was functioning properly?(partially gummed up) Good luck with the rebuild!

Mario, Just wanted to confirm if your block is going to be bigger due to all the work along with larger pistons.

Can't wait to hear how everything turned out for you. Oh and, the other mods your doing should of course save you lots of costs on labor for something that you could have eventualy done in the future.

In some way your lucky that your going to be doing all these other mods and have a stronger running Mini.

I think my car will be a 1.7l instead of a 1.6l. I can't wait to get my little baby back

Haha sometimes I wish our cars had a few hundred more cc's! You'll be at 1619 cc after a 20 thou overbore!
