My CD is stuck in the HK, will not play or come out. The radio is working fine but the CD will not eject or respond. It just reads "CD". I read the book on the guidelines which stated "not to use a CD/DVD or one that has had a label applied. Not the case at all. Its a new "normal" CD.

Is it maybe a fuse? Any ideas?

I have no clue. I went & looked at all my documents & unless I put the H/K booklet somewhere else, all I have is a flimsy little flip-out brochure on my H/K & it has nada troubleshooting help. Try starting a thread in the Navigation/Audio area & ask for help there.

If all else fails you might try running by a local car stereo shop. Maybe they will know an easy way to get it out

 

I don't believe it could be a fuse if the radio plays. If you can Try to reset the radio/cd by unpluging all the plugs on the back of the radio. When you plug it back in it will reset and should give you back the CD. (or if you can find the fuse for the radio,take it out and put it back in.)

You may also try to use another cd and try to push on the cd that is in there. Do this while you are on Radio so that the Cd is not turning. Don't push too hard but enough to make sure it is all the way in. Then try eject again.

Last Take it to dealer!!!

Never tried any of these but they have worked for me in past cars.

 

Low and behold... I didn't use the cd player until today, I asked it to please give over the CD, pressed the eject button and out it came. Odd too, the player wasn't hot the day it got stuck so I have no idea what caused this or if it will happen again. I am going to Nashville Mini on Monday so the can fix my insane glove box lock and I'll mention the CD thing to them.
