Im haveing to buy some more beltline blackout tape and have seen prostripe tape on ebay for $4.95 for 150'.Is this the same shade and quality as 3m low gloss black tape?theres another make on ebay as well whick is about $9.95.

OMG, some of those are $$$. Got to the hardware store and buy some 3M electrical tape. Same result for less $$$. A guy in our club has been his electrical tape belt line for like a year and it still looks like new.

I would be using this method but I liked it better with the chrome showing.

 

Depends on the width of the tape to fit the belt. I don't know if electrical tape comes in 5/8 either. Scotchcal is specifically designed for oem automotive graphic application, has different characteristics than 3m electrical, and comes with backing which makes it easier to apply and it doesn't stretch so much.

 

You can get the 3M stuff from Outmotoring.com for $13. It's the same stuff that Minspeed sells for about $30. Difference is that Minspeed sell you an entire roll of the tape, Outmotoring gives you only what you need to do one MINI.
