R53 pick up truck

I found this while Surfing a vw forum and I am not sure if it has been posted over here. I personally think it looks great, but i wish it had a flip down gate to be slighty more usable

Dude!
Thanks for posting those pics. I've been hot for one of these lately and seeing it in this colour is tempting.

I've seen something similar to that but it has a big Red Bull can in the back.

That has to be one of the most akward looking cars taht I hae ever seen. That being said, it is pretty sweet. But like everyone else, a usable tailgate wold be more practicle.

I have seen one of the Red Bull ones driving around Dallas twice. It looks different for sure. I wish I would have been able to get a picture of it.

I've driven one of the Red Bull Coopers, they actually arn't that much different (obviously have not driven through the twisties though ). The rear tray area is actually a fridge, and they keep cans of Red Bull ready to go in there :D

I have to say that is very cool. I do like the looks of it. It would have been really cool if you kept the sun roof. =P

Hey it was just brought to my attention that this was also on this forum. My name is Benedikt Schiermeyer and I'm the one who build this car. It was built by me at the shop where I work. The name of the shop is Street Rod Factory in San Marcos, CA. Any questions anyone has I can answer.

Thanks for all the comments
Ben

Very creative Ben! Nice metalwork. I'm just looking at this for the first time myself.

If you have nothing to do March 22-25 you should bring that to AMVIV (www.amviv.com). That would look cool with all the other MINIs and you might even get an award. Really interesting MINI!

The Red bull ones are just slapped together as easy and simple. They aren't done quality.
