Anyone have any experience with these

I am on my third set The stick real good once they are warm and are AMAZING in the wet. You need to rotate them every 3k miles or so or they can be on the noisy side.

I've been to the track twice & auto-x'ed w/ them once. They are my 1st set of performance tires but I'm happy w/ them and would more than likely get a 2nd set. (basically the same feelings as the "other guy")

How well do they hold up to track driving? I saw a set that'd been used for autocrossing, and they'd chunked noticeably. I'm looking at doing four track days plus the Dragon this year (and probably a couple of autocrosses, too); I don't expect them to last for all of that, but I wouldn't mind if they outlived the Yoko ES100s I used last year...

 

How many miles were you able to get out of them while rotating every 3k? I do know you track a lot but still...

 

First let me say I have been a big fan of BF Goodrich Tires for over 20 years.

I currently have BFGs on all three of my vehicles.

But currently I am looking to replace the same BFG tires you are asking about.

Since installing on my Mini S, the ride, handling and traction in both wet and dry have been great.

The first 5,000 miles were quiet.

But then the noise started.

Rotating the tires didn't help.

The noise is darn near as bad as a set of mudders on a 4 wheel drive truck.

People who ride in my Mini ask if I have a wheel bearing going bad.

If you enjoy conversation and or the radio, you might want to look at another brand. As for me, I'm still undecided as I want to stay with the 205-45-17 size in a non run flat.

 

I'm on my third set of these as well and love them. Did the Phil Wicks at AMVIV last year on them and did cup the drivers front pretty badly, but I expected that given the right-hand turn dominant track. Have done a couple auto-crosses with them and love them. Definitely a bit noisy if you dont rotate them 3-4k, and once they get noisey, theres really no getting rid of it until you replace them, thats the only negative to this tire for me. I just put the windows down, open the sunroof and turn up the tunes... hehe.

Typical mileage for me so far is around 20-22k on a set with an autcross or two thrown in.

I myself am among those who can't wait to replace them, they are, seriously, unreasonably loud (and I do rotate them).

 

I'm not going to bother with them. Talking with Doc at the Tire Rack, he didn't recommend them for track use due mainly to the large tread blocks. They *look* really cool, but the argument for them seems to stop being compelling after that. :(
