Has anyone had a flat with repair kit on board?

I am switching to non-runflats and I am going to carry a Continental repair kit. Has anyone had experience with kits like this? Did it work? Please provide your experience. Thanks...

I carry the same kit but haven't had to use it to seal a flat. The kit also works as a normal compressor and I have used it a couple times to fill up a tire without putting any sealant in. I expect it'll work fin if I get a flat that needs sealed. The only thing that these kits won't help you with is if you have a major blowout but you might not be driving away from one of those even with a spare tire...

The Conti Kit is excellent and refillable.

I would also suggest getting one of these http://www.dynaplug.com/

This are becoming popular and no need for using goop. It doesn't hurt to have both.

I've used the dynaplug for neighbors and it does work well, easier than the conventional ones found at auto stores. However, more than one plug is needed most of the time in my experience. Still, very easy to use.

Anybody have an idea what the brass tip on the dynaplug may do to the air moniters in the tire if it comes loose and bounces around in the tire?

The tires don't have air monitors. The flat tire monitor is a sensor that monitors the rate of speed in which each axle turns.

There are no 'air monitors' in the tire or wheel. The low / flat monitor works by comparing the number times each wheel revolves with the same sensor used for ABS, Traction control etc.
