Wilwood 13 in. brakes- what wheels?

I'd like to know who has the TCE Wilwood 13in kit and what wheels your running. Bought the kit for 06 GP and having problems with wheels to clear calipers. Any ideas? Do you need spacers also. Thanks

May have a brake Kit for sale. New

Very nice. May I ask where you got the wheels and what offset they are?
Any rubbing issues. Sure sits low.

M7 got them for me, I believe they are a 40 offset.

Those are 205/40/17 tires on the wheels, no rubbing from the tires but the bottom of the car is something else. Real LOW!!!

Do you know the weight. Man that caliper looks close to the rim. What size tire are you running.

Konig holes weigh 17lbs. Its not that close, there's at least 3mm clearance .
I've put lots of track miles (one or two DE's a month) never had an issue.
On the street, 215/40/17 all season, on the track 205/40/17 RA1s.

Track use is the concern. Motorn and me are looking for a rim for street and track. Do you think a larger RA1 will fit that rim without a problem?

I'm not sure, but I'll bet they are heavier than the Konigs and a lot lighter than "S Lites".

The next size above the 205/40/17 in a RA1 is a 235/40/17 or 235/45/17 which really needs at least a 7.5" width preferably 8". Even if you get them on a wheel, you won't get them under the fenders without some surgery. 235 is too much for stock wheel wells.

Thanks Again. Does anyone have a 7.5 or 8.0 wide wheel setup out there?

i am running 17X7.5" SSR type C-RS wheels w/ 225/40/17 hoosier R6's. i previously have 205/40/17 RA-1's. a lot more room available w/ the toyos, but i love the hoosiers. i, too, have the 13" TCE/Willwood setup. i use 5mm spacers up front to clear my coilovers. the added space from the spacers works nicely w/ my bigger hoosiers. it is tight, but it works.

Any rubbing issues. How much of a drop in your car?

i have about a 1 1/4" drop. i had a very slight rub on the outside in the back w/ my hoosiers. i'll raise the car about 1/8" and add a little more rear camber before my next track session.

This is what I have.....TCE Wilwood 13" with 17x7 Kazera KZ-V and Goodyear Eagle F-1's (215-45-17). The wheel combo is pretty tight but no spacers and no clearance issues with the caliper. 6+ track days as well. In retrospect, I would have gone with the smaller Wilwood BBK, only to have more tire/wheel options. Don't get me wrong, I love the set up I have now....just more options would be nice.

Very nice setup. Is your car lowered at all.
Also how do you like the WMS bar on your car. I've been looking at it for my GP but wonder about the cost against the H-sport comp and Alta links that I had on my 03?

The car isn't lowered....yet! Putting H-sports and Koni Yellow's at AMVIV in March. WMS bar is probably more bar than I need....but with the adjustable drop links you can "fine tune" the pre-load...if you're into that kind of adjustability. I have mine set at 3/4 stiff and seems to be just about right. Give Randy a call at WMS to get the full explanation of the differences.
FWIW...that tire/wheel combo weigh's 40.2lbs and the total weight of the car is 2681 with a 1/2 tank of fuel and nothing else in the car.

You could always go custom, but that costs a pretty penny...
