factory ordered caps cover painted mirror?
Just ordered an 07 cooper S with chrome mirror caps (not chrome package) and was wondering if it was a mistake. My thought is that unless the mirrors are painted black underneath (roof color), I could have just put the caps on after getting the car and have a choice between black or chrome. Anyone know if the factory chrome caps cover painted/finished mirrors upon production?

 

Factory chrome caps are a full replacement cap, they are not a stick on cover.
