What Gauges for an MC

I'm wondering for us MC owners, what gauges would be worth adding on?

I've searched the threads but most seem to be geared toward the MCS. Would Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Water Temp and Voltage be overkill?

Using a boost gauge can help in more serious tuning. You wouldnt be using the boost feature but the vaccum side

How so, you're not running boost.

You don't store your MINI much as best I can tell so I don't think voltage would do much for you. I could see the temps being helpful so you know when not to push it as things start up (and you'll actually get to watch them climb everyday) And if you get stuck in bad summer traffic you can know when to beign to sweat.

Could do an AF guage see if you can get even more MPG out the Cooper

I'd love to be able to do one of these on my S you could test the waters for me.

Even if your not running boost vaccum is created in the intake manifold, its part of what draws the air into the cylinders. Using the vaccum side of a boost gauge would monitor that level of "suction" in the manifold

Voltage would be good beacuse the battery in the Mini tends to die unannouced. Atleast you might see it coming with a proper guage. and the only other guage to add would be oil pressure. We already have a good water temp;but one with numbers might be nice if you don't mind the overkill on the dash.

The Hud looks cool BTW. I 'd like to drive with one before spending the cash on one thou.
