OctaneGuys' Websites Will Be Down....
FindaMotoringBuddy.com aka National MINI Motoring Registry and c3club.org along with littlemini.us and Vacucam.com
will all be out of service for 3 days. This also means any email sent to me at c3club.org may not be received, so please use my rick [at] showcargarage.com address instead.
Any photos that I've posted to NAM that are hosted on these servers will also be broken--this could affect quite a few of my writeups.
This is just a heads up that this outage is temporary.
Our Data Center has informed us that they will be moving our servers to a new state of the art facility on Feb 9th, 10th, 11th, 2007 from 9:00pm -5:00am MST. During significant portions of this maintenance window period, your web hosting and email services will be unavailable.
The date and time of your downtime will be based on the date and time the specific servers affecting your services are scheduled to be moved. Again, downtime will be specific to the servers that are being moved on each particular day, and therefore you will only be affected on the day(s) your respective server(s) for both web hosting and email are being moved. To minimize the inconvenience to our clients, the migration has been scheduled for off peak hours and dates.
A follow up email will be sent within the next 12-24 hours providing more specific information as to when you can expect both web hosting and email service downtime for your particular account.
Maintenance Description: During this time the data center will be physically moving servers from their existing facility to a new data center. They will be physically powering down the servers, loading them onto a cargo truck, transporting them to the data center facility, racking them at the new facility, and then connecting the servers to the network. Finally, they will power the servers back up.
Maintenance Impact: As a result of this move, you should expect your service to be down during a significant portion of the noted maintenance windows (Feb 9th, 10th, 11th, 2007 from 9:00pm -5:00am MST). Actual amounts of downtime will vary from one server to another due to the large number of servers that will be moved each night. However, once we have completed the move, you will not need to take any further action or make any changes. Your service will start working again once the servers are powered up in the new datacenter facility.
