Radio antenna replacement

Has anyone replaced the radio antenna on the cabrio?
If so, which do you recommend?

I found several threads on this in MINI Talk, but I wanted some cabrio-specific input.

Honda S2000

I used the Honda S2000. It works great and is well proportioned. Here is a picture from my gallery.

I had read that a lot of coupe drivers are using that antenna, but I wasn't sure how it would look on the cabrio -- it looks great . . . as does the rest of your car.
Thanks -- that's what I'm gonna use as well.

Yeah I had to get rid of the RC car look as well. I got the Alta stubby and it looks so much better (why couldn't MINI just put it into the windshield like so many others). I can't speak to the reception difference, if any, since I seldom listen to anything other than my iPod.

I use the CravenSpeed one, works very good, had the S2000 one but it did not look as nice.

I got a black stubby antenna from a E-Bay seller .cost about 7.50 plus shipping ,looks cool and you don't have to worry about breakage if you run your MINI through a car-wash(I haven't yet)...I leave it on when I put on the MINI car cover ...

S2000 Antenna

The S2000 is thicker than the stubby and is flexible. So no worries in a Carwash, Except the carwash itself. .

I tried the stubby but got very poor reception unless I held onto it. Made it hard to Shift.

I have the S2000 antenna as well. It's very durable and I've had great reception with it. Here are a few shots of one on my cabrio -

For those who are perfectionists, the bottom of the S2000 flares out a bit too wide to match the slender pointy antenna base of the cabrio. Enfig sells an antenna that is like the S2000 but with a slimmer, better matching profile. At $30, it is much more expensive than the S2000.

On my car I ended up with a used JDM Altezza antenna off eBay that is an inch longer than the S2000 and has a slender bottom like the Enfig. It's one of these, normally around $40 new:
