Any rubbing issues

I have a stock 05 mcs with 16x6.5 x-lights. Can i run 225x50R16 tires, or is 215x50R 16 the size i need. Mike

Tire Rubbing Issues

If you run the 215/50/16 the only noticeable difference will be the increase of .78 (3/4 inch) in the section width. The speedometer will indicate 60 but you will be actually driving 60.05 mph with the 215/50/16.

215 and 225x50 R 16 are both close to stock dia. It's room that concerns me.I would like as much rubber on the road as possible.

Don't think you'll rub but a lot of ppl will say that's too much tire for a 6.5" wheel.
