Hello, I have a 2004 MC with 41,000 miles. Leaking tranny fluid. Bought it used, no extended warranty. Is it still covered? Or am I out about 5 grand?

If it's been less than 4 years since it was bought new....yes. Being an '04 it would have to be less than 4 years since bought new.

 

My experience has been that they expire two days before you need them. In your case however, I think you are still covered seems like I remember 50k and 4 years.

 

Be sure to take it to the dealer asap. It helps a great deal if you have already logged a potential warranty problem before the warranty expires. At the dealer, have them run your VIN and ask them for the "in-service" date. The anniversary of that date is when your warranty expires. Good luck.
