Roof graphics, who has them and do they last?

I'm pretty convinced that I'm going to buy a new MCS in March. I'd like to get an American flag roof graphic but I'd like to know ahead of time if they tend to peel off, crack or anything, hence this thread. I'd like to know who has roof graphics and if they last a while? What roof graphic do you have?

Vinyl comes in different qualities. You can get 10 and 15 yr guarenteed vinyl too.

I was thinking of buying a sheet of white vinyl and cutting my own squares to checkerboard my black roof. Anyone done this? Tips? Where'd ya get the vinyl?

Durability depends on the quality of the vinyl used. Take a look at www.aestheticreations.net. AC and Cooperflags do great work. See my gallery as both my Coopers have roof graphics. - larry

My CooperFlags perforated sunroof flag began to disintegrate in about 6 months. 2 months later it looked so bad I had to remove it.

However, the stripes we ordered from CooperFlags made from solid colored vinyl look brand new after a year and a half.

I would avoid perforated and printed vinyl materials and instead have any intricate design constructed from multiple layers of solid colored vinyl. This does limit what you can do but your design will certainly last much longer.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I think that I'm going to remove that from my saved build on miniusa.com and get a better quality flag from one of the places recommended here.

Both of my MINIs have been garaged until recently. My '03 MC has a perforated graphic [MightyStripes] on the sunroof and it has held up well since 2004. It remains in the garaged, as I use it for a show car, mostly. My '06 MCS has a solid graphic [AestheticCreations] on the sunroof and until this month, was always garaged. I've had no problems so far, but will have to see how it goes as warmer weather appears.

AC did mine about 18 months ago. Perforated, sunroof only. Never garaged, never a problem.
