Charity Drive Update

This Saturday is the Charity Drive and we have some really nice door prizes and one special prize for the people who donate to the Charity. We have an complete express detail for your mini. We have shirts, key chains etc. and the prize for the charity will be a city bag that can be used to carry laptop and other goodies, retail is $120. All prizes were donated by Hendrick Mini so kudos to Brian Porta and his staff. Even if you haven't signed up and suddenly find yourself in a position to make the drive please feel free to do so. Its suspose to be cold but clear and good day for a nice drive. Thanks, Luke President Mini Motoring Club of Carolinas.

Hey Luke,
Have you got a link to more info about the drive? ie, when and where to meet, how long it lasts.

This is the first I've heard of this.

Thanks,
Keith

Hi Keith, its been posted since before Christmas. It starts in Charlotte on Albemarle Road Hwy 24/27 we are going up to Albemarle cut across to Biscoe NC and take 220A to 220 to Rockingham then back towards Charlotte thru Wadesboro to Polkton where we get off 74 onto 218 to Mint Hill. If you can't get to Charlotte for the start you might want to hook up with us at Biscoe NC. This is something that I thought I would try and the response seems to be cool. If this works out what I would like to do at the next Quarterly Meeting set it up where each individual chapters could do this and we would help out. Also each chapter should be able to receive up to 100 bucks to buy something that they could raffle off in there area. That way we could be making money for Charity and the club. What do you think? Hope you can squeeze in part of the run if not all of it. Its open to everyone and we have some people who can't make it send in a donation anyway. We need your and everyone's input. Oh Yes, Miniless George is going with us. He is also considering getting a lease mini in the near future. Let me know what you think and lets get some stuff going on. We will be leaving the Target Parking lot no later than 1pm and we have reservations to eat at 5-530 at Jimmie's restrauant on Hwy 51 in Mint Hill. Hope this helps you out if not just call me. Target is on Albemarle Road hwy 24/27. Luke Prez

Thanks Luke,
I guess I had a senior moment. I just re-read the club newsletter and there it was, plain as day.
Weather report looks good. I should be able to be there, unless there is something else I'm forgetting... which seems to be happening more often...

Luke

How long does it take to get to Polkton, I have to be back to Wingate at 3:45 and I am wondering if I can make it. It will take me 20 minutes from there to Wingate. Thanks for the help

Luke,

Last minute possible addition. Please put me on the list. Hope I can make it!!! If so, will be my first "GROUP" ride since the infamous Greenville fiasco.
Nervous and on new knees!!!

H.A.W.G. It will take about 2 1/2 hours or about 315 or 330 to get to Polkton so that would be cutting it pretty close? Counting rest stops probably longer. Hope you can make it if not thats for considering. It was nice to meet you at the Meet N Eat. Luke
