F/S: Mini Cooper Art

ANY MINI ART COLLECTORS OUT THERE?

I just finished a test piece for a new series and I am opting to sell it on NAM before giving it to my gallery or keeping it.

It is a rendering of an MCS made from shredded US Currency glued to Canvas. One of a kind, signed Artist Proof. Perfect for the motoring collector.

You can see a few images of it here:
www.chadperson.com

retail price is $2250, but I'll give it to a NAM member for a %25 discount - $1687.50 + s/h (which should be ~$20 at most) If you are in NM, please add 6.75% tax

please PM me or contact me at chad@chadperson.com if you are interested.

p.s.- i'd be willing to barter off some of the value for a full set of black M7 grilles!

small preview (see above link for larger images and details):

Nice, but I thought it was illegal to destroy currency.

Nice job! But that front bumper looks like a Cooper bumper ('02-'04 bumper inserts) with an MCS bonnet scoop!

Currency, Coopers and this forum. Just sort of can't escape it.

See below for link to a discussion about destroying currency. I'm not a lawyer, and have never even played one on tv so I won't try to voice an opinion, just trying to help answer the question.

You can actually buy shredded currency directly from the Treasury Department. Here is a link that talks about it.

He's right, most of the material comes from the Treasury directly, some of it was left over from another series I did with currency last year. Thus far, no one from the government has paid much mind to my use of the bills in my artwork - at least as long as I continue to pay my taxes on time..

thanks for all the positive comments folks

Very nice work!

Looks like you spent quite a bit of time on that.

I've done some MINI art work myself. See threads in sig.

still available

I had a buyer back out on me for this piece, so it is once again availble.

Also, in good faith I'll offer it up at the price I negotiated with the would be buyer: $1100 even.

That's a pretty big drop from the above listed price, but this piece is really the odd-man-out in my current series.
Thanks to all for the many compliments!!

cheers!
