I prefer the OZ Ultraleggera and ASA EM9 for looks; the lighter of the two would be my choice. (anybody have the weights handy?)

1. Looks: The OZ looks nicer, although I do like the ASA as well.
2. Weight: OZ = 14.5 lbs. THe others start at 18 lbs. and go up from there.
3. Rep: OZ imho, has the best rep of all the choices.
4. Price...meh

Aren't ASA wheels made by BBS? I know that BBS has quite a reputation for making good strong wheels.

Here's one more question - would the OZ get bent easier than the others? It's not forged, right? LP Cast/Shot peened?

 

I don't think any of these choices are forged.

Forged wheels would cost a good bit more than $130-$190, if I'm not mistaken.

Will the ASA EM9 fit the MINI? They are not listed as a wheel selection for an 06 MCS on Tire Racks website. Maybe an 04?

 

Yup, an 04 MSC has the EM9 for a selection. Not for an 06 MSC. Sorry, answered my own question.

I considered them myself, although just a wee bigger.

 

If you don't mind the cleaning headache, the ASA's.

I like them almost as much so for the ease of cleaning, I'd go for the Kazera's.

Yep, I have an '04. Ok, so none are forged (like I guessed) - they are all cast. Will the lightest be the most fragile, aka easier to bend?

I know I'm obsessed with potholes, but I'm not kidding. You all have to visit NE Ohio one time. The worst roads that I have seen in the whole country.

 

Kazeras .... style, smooth edges for easy cleaning, cheap and functional

I think your 16 inch choice is going to help immensely. If you went with Non- run flats that would help even more.

The OZ wheel is a high quality cast rim, and if it were a bigger spec (17 or 18 inch) I would be very concerned about bending. But regardless, at 16", I think your going to be happy with any of your selections.
