Hey guys, I'm about to place an order for a Mini Cooper S, and I plan on using it for autocross. I was wonder how much weight a sunroof would add to the car compared to the normal solid roof, and also if the sunroof affects the performance at all?

The only way your sunroof is going to affect performance is if you have it open while driving. And about weight, no clue

I do'nt think the large sunroof detracts from the rigidity of the car very much if at all as long as it is closed.

The MINI might be a little heavier with the sunroof then without though.

There are some older threads about the sunroof that mention the weight it adds, and I don't think it's a nominal amount. Maybe trying searching the forums?
