A little hard to get used to
I love to drive my MCS Convertible. In fact, I drive it every day back and forth to work. However, as it turns out, we usually are in the Mini-Van anytime we go anywhere around town. This weekend, however, was strangely warm and we had the MINI out and around town with the top down...including a sunday afternoon with 2 carseats in the back and 2 happy little boys waving their arms in the air like they were on a roller coaster. Anyway, all of that is very easy to get used to, what was more difficult was the reception of other people. On no less than 3 different occasions people actually stopped us or yelled out of their car windows to tell us how much they loved our car. One very entheusiastic lady in a giant SUV actually said "you rock"
) Anyway, it's nice to meet people who are excited and compliment you instead of people yelling at you for no apparent reason, but it is still a little embarressing. I mean, it's not like I designed or built the thing...I just happen to be lucky enough to be able to afford a new car and bold enough to pick one with a dealer that is 200 miles away.
That's awesome. I never get waves or anything anymore. I believe too many "normal" people drive MINI's, and it upsets me because they are not enthusiast's, and I feel like they shouldn't drive MINI's! Ex. my cousin has a MINI, but she is not an enthusiast, and I hate it.

Agreed - my MINI is one week old now and it was very easy to get used to driving it, but the reaction from other people is well, different. I like it though. I love my MINI and want to tell everybody how great it is.

It really is amazing how much attention these cars get. I've had mine for 2.5 years and I still get asked about it all the time. And this is in the Northeast where MINIs are pretty plentiful!
