Tire Pressure ??

Our MC has 15" Holies with 175/65R-15 Tires. The plate on door sill calls for 30PSI for a light load & 35PSI for full load. I have been running the tires at 35 PSI no matter what load is. Why? Because it Handles ,in my opinion , much better. Am i okay doing this or am i causing excessive Tire wear? Thanks. The car which was purchased new only has 19,100 original miles on it & still on the original tires.

2003 MC. PW/B, Premium PKG, DSC,CVT, Fog Lamps, After MKT Spoiler & after MKT Center & Door Armrests

I don't believe you are hurting a thing. That being said over inflated tires will wear the center of the tire out faster then the edges. It's a trade off, better handling for less tire life. What's more important to you? For me it would be handling.

Same Tires

DOT191, I have the same tire set-up on my 2005 Cooper.
Just turned 33,500 on the original tires before I got a new set.
Have run them entirely at 35 PSI and I rotated front to back to even wear.
Probably could have gotten many more miles but I just love the corners too much!
Motor on.

Thanks for the input. I agree that the Handling is what i want.So i will continue to run them at 35PSI. Forgot to mention i was able to purchase a set of 4 of these type Tires with 1,000 Miles on them dirt cheap awhile back so i have a Back up Set when i need to change the Tires,

I ran 41 front and 36 rear with the same tires on holies for about 16000 miles, there were still about 3/16th of an inch left when I swapped them out. Only about 0.5/16th of an inch more wear in the center of the tires, I liked the slightly stiffer sidewall for steering response.
