I'm fairly new to Birmingham--been here a year and a half--and now I'm new to Minis. I just bought a silver 2003 MCS with black bonnet stripes from Tom Williams BMW today. I guess I'll be asking some questions as I get used to what it will do--I'm pretty excited. Anything I should know as a new owner?

Welcome to Birmingham and to the Wonderful World of Mini Ownership! I'm kinda new too, not to B'ham, I'm a native, but I got my Mini July 10th this year. Seems everyday I learn something new about my car. I discovered just this week that the on board computer temp flashes when the temps are near freezing and a *bing* will sound too. Like he's looking out for me

I work for a newspaper company based here in Birmingham. I moved down from Virginia a year and a half ago, but I'm originally from South Carolina. (Go Gamecocks!!)

 

Welcome, Mudduck. My first MINI experience was a TW test drive. So now when I head down Grant's Mill, if there are any cars in front of me around TW, I'll let them advance down the road as I check out the MINIs on the lot.

I saw that one there. The was another one there also. I bought my first Mini from them the only problem is you pay too much. The one you got is a good looking car. Welcome.
