K&N Typhoon Question (MPG)

For those of you with a K&N Typhoon on your Cooper, I was wondering what kind of gas milage you were getting before and after installing it. I'm 18 and to convince Santa to bring me one for x-mas that it is more about saving money on gas, then it is for the added HP (even though its only like 5HP).

Jeremy, I saw a slight increase in MPGs with the intake (around 1 or 2 on the highway). You will not see any horsepower gain, but the throttle response is improved.

The sound is great once you hit 4000 rpms!

Well that definatly will help my sales pitch . No added power, and a little extra gas mileage. Thanks for the quick response

Well, lets see, no increase in gas milage because you want to hear the intake sound as often as you can. So you put your foot into it all the time. Because of this reason you will probably get worse gas milage.
Shop ebay real close and you can pick one up really cheap. Mine cost 65.00 for the real thing.
