M14 x 1.25 lugs??

Has anyone found any m14 x 1.25 lug bolts other than the set on the recently produced Minis? If not, does anyone know when they are going to be supplied by someone other than Mini??

I know it's a bizarre thread and a pita.

Myself and maybe another vendor are working on this whole thing. Be patient, none of this is going to get resolved over night.

Ok thats what i wanted to hear. I know this is the first car to ever use this very odd size so it will take time. Is 2 months a good time frame??

It was... until sometime this year when it changed over to M14x1.25.

We're still locating a supplier for this hardware...

The supplier that I use says they are in production but do not have a ETA as to when they will have them.

They will proably just do a small production run of OEM length tuner and spline lug bolts.

I'm looking for the same thing and I'm surprised it's taking this long since I think the new bolts apply to MINI Coopers built May '06 and forward.

This company: http://www.excaliburwheel.com/ plans on releasing spline lugs in the new M14 x 1.25 size in about a month.

then why arent they produced by anyone? I dont think anyone has used the 1.25. There has been many cars that have used M14 x 1.5 but from what i have been told, nothing has used M14 x 1.25.

The issue is finding someone willing to roll studs for you in smallish quantities - I mean, they will, but they would be way too expensive. We searched high and low and didn't find anyone with M14x1.25x40-50mm studs.

Lug bolts are easier to find, but still not widely available in that size...

Ok, here's what I know.

I've been in talks with ARP on this and about producing a custom stud for the car. The plan is a 14mm ruduced to 12mm for the more popular wheel and brake fit issue.

So far the three hurdles I've hit are:
1. Min qty to produce them.
2. How long to make them. (currently there may be three lengths)
3. Who is willing to share in the production cost.

I'll toss it out to other vendors: who wants in on this? I have NO plans to commit to some $5k invstment in studs just to claim I have them. I'd far rather buy a half dozen sets and split production with others.

When did Mini change the size? I've heard May of 2006 production.

Thanks for the update. These will become std on all MINI's. Seems to me most wheel mfg's will have to make lugs very shortly to sell their products.

Thanks Scott for your help in this matter.

Why don't you just get stock lugs if thats all you need? Or do you need longer lugs.

I just ordered the M14 x 1.25 Nam kit #4. It is only $50 for all 16 lugs with a unique key. They already sold out of 850+ kits of this size but are expecting more in in 8 days so order now!!
