i have them on my MINI. i love them. ride is fine. like any 18" wheel on a MINI. fit is perfect. check out pic @ http://www.motoringfun.com/downloads...-1920x1200.jpg
i got the brushed finish and spent over $1k/corner. a lot of cheese, but i don't regret it. i got them from wheelsperformance.com. they have pics on their site as well (before coilovers and a few other items)... go for it

someone had a thread before stateting that five spokes dont look good with four lugs i dissagree with the 547's..

How about when its raining is it true too much water goes in the wheels?

thanks. yes, the car is lowered w/ coilovers. i had to get rid of the 4X4 stance. i have a tce bbk on the way. i had to use 5mm spacers in the front because of the 2.5" springs that came w/ the coilovers. but i added rdr camber plates and the wheels tucked in nicely w/ 2.5 deg front camber. the wheels are 18 X 8 w/ 215/35/18 bfg kdw2's. the tires are wider than most tires of the same size. no rubbing issues at all. i'll put together a gallery when my very custom interior is completed.

my wheels are the 447R

the kdw2's are so amazing in the rain that it is not an issue. i have a lightly traveled winding road near my shop and cannot break the tires loose in a torrential downpour.

bean, beautiful custom grill work including the air scoop. Do you care to share where you got it done? What is the offset of your wheels? They look great.

thanks brownflyer. the grillz are m7 ultimate grills. i think that i got the first lower grill shipped for the aero kit because i was a pita. the scoop grill is home depot gutter shield! cost about $5.00 and is enough to do four cars. it perfectly matches the m7 products. i don't know what the offset is on the wheels. all HRE's are made to order. i told them where i wanted the tire to end up with the suspension that i had and they delivered. just slightly tucked.

Those look great bean!

I'm planning on getting the 845R's for mine. piff2121 I believe they are gonna cost you close to $5000 for the wheel set. I'd say that you MINI should be lowered too.

piff2121, i think i spent $5600 for wheels/tires. i love the kdw2's. they are a little bit louder than some tires, but they are great in dry weather and unmatched in the wet. i like the looks of my car lowered, but the handling w/ what i have done is unbelievable. i'll be on the track at homestead on 9-10 december and can't wait.

minichick, i was torn between the 45's and the 47's. they both look awesome. either will be well built and fit perfectly.

spillman, i'm lovin' your 300 hp! i'm not going there, but i just finished speaking to don at precision about kickin' it up a knotch (or two).

Yeah, it just comes down to personal preference. It's your MINI!

First, your car looks sick. I love HRE's... more people seem to be putting them on MINI's lately.. Is there an event at Homestead that weekend?

@ piff, I think you should drop the car if you go with 18s. Else you'll have a 4x4 stance which doesn't look good. Lowering the car will also give you better handling. Just something to think about. Once you get hte 18s on there I'm sure you'll see our reasoning... Post Pics!

02///MSC there is a PBOC event on 9-10 December at Homestead. there will be five or six MINIs participating. come on by. the event is full, but stop by and check out the action. i won't be running the HRE's! the ssr's will be on.

It doesn't take me too long to drive to Homestead Speedway so I'll prolly pass by one of the days. I'll be sure to keep a look out for your car

Bean could help you out with how long they take to make. My guess is a couple of weeks... I wouldn't get staggered rims just because then you can't rotate them. And also because idk if you would rub with anything wider than 18x8. It really depends on rubbing, I'd lower it as much as I possibly could without rubbing. That could be 1" or 2". You'd just have to see once the rims are on. I guess a safe bet would be H-Sports. 4x4 stance = off-road stance = your MINI really high off the ground with a big gap inbetween the fender arch and the tire. Hope that helps

02//MCS mine took 5-6 weeks to be delivered. i ordered them shortly after i ordered my MINI and the car arrived weeks before the wheel. worth the wait, however.
