New SoCal car gathering every Saturday @ Balboa Peninsula
New SoCal car gathering!
Back to the Beach!
7am-9am every Saturday!
Meet on the Balboa Peninsula!
Parking will be at the Balboa Pier lot, on the North end...right on the beach!
Many restaurants at the pier open at 7:00am for breakfast--Ruby's, The Shorehouse Cafe, bakery shops, convenience stores, etc.
Take PCH to Newport Blvd. which turns into Balboa Blvd. Right on Palm --then go through parking ticket booth at lot entrance Take ticket at parking ticket booth...pay when you leave.
Approved by the Newport Beach Parking Supervisor Harbour Resources Division
Parking is $1.50/hr.

I think that this would be a great event for the SSOCMCC to attend. Especially when you consider that it's in Orange County. I'll post it on our site, and we'll possibly make the next one.

A bit misleading...
Ok...I researched and found out that this is an alternative car gathering and not the same Crystal Cove Coffee and Car gathering which is now being held at the Ford Design Center near the Irvine Spectrum.
It seems the viper club (or specifically one viper owner going by Newport Viper) is pushing hard to get this event up and running by posting on most car club boards...a bit misleading on his part.

I heard that the Crystal Cove event was fun, but not welcome by the community. It's understandable. That much noise that early in the morning on a Saturday might make me a little less welcoming. Balboa is a MUCH better location.

When I turned up at CC in my MR2 Spyder they (the ferarista) explained that a Japanese, mid-engined 2-seater, roadster is not a sports car.......
