MINI/Mini Day at AT&T Park Giants vs. Dodgers

Game Day: Saturday July 14, 2007

Since last year was sooooo much fun, we have decided to try it again. MINI/Mini Day at AT&T. This time it's the Giants vs.. Dodgers. Can't get more intense than that!!!

I can get a block of 50 seats in section 314, rows 14-17. There are in the upper deck, view level. They are almost behind home plate. The seats are $28 ea. I'd like to get an idea of how many before we commit. I will pay for the tickets up front and ask that you send me the money if you want tickets.

Here is a link to get a sample view from where these seats are.

http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/N...ng_pricing.jsp

You should be able to click on the link and then click on section 314, that will give you the view from the seats.

If that link does not work, go to sfgiants.com, find AT&T Park along the tool bar, put your mouse there and then click on "Seating & Pricing", a view of the park should appear and then you can click on section 314.

In order to assure that we get all 50 seats together, we need to commit NOW. You won't need to pay for the tickets until after Jan. 1, 2007.

Here is a link to sign up.

As of a few minutes ago (4PM PST), we have 30 already signed up. So we may need to increase this from 50.

Send me an email if you want to go. norm@redwoodempiremini.com

Looks like we will use up all 50 seats. I can still get more now but they will be sold out soon, so if you want to join in let me know ASAP.

Hey Gang,

We are "SOLD OUT" for the REME Giants/Dodgers Game. All 50 seats are taken. We have a bunch of people taking the Larkspur/AT&T Park Golden Gate Ferry. This should be a great day. The ride across the SF Bay is a blast. A day at the ballpark with hot-dogs, sunshine, and a cold beer with 50 MINI friends, what could be better????

Maybe Barry will hit 756 that day.

Somehow I still have a few ferry tickets left. In case you ordered some and did not get them, please let me know. If they are not spoken for they are available. You can always buy them from Golden Gate Ferries.

The Mini Invasion of AT&T Park gathered together at Larkspur Landing in Marin at 10:30AM on Saturday morning as members of REME (Redwood Empire MINI Enthusiasts) drove from as far away as Redding, Woodside, Salinas, Carson City NV, and Sacramento.
Although many of us had decided to make our assault by sea, taking the Golden Gate Ferry across San Francisco Bay , we did have some coming by Mini, bus, train, and BART.

It was a clear, sunny, and cool morning as we left Larkspur. We spread ourselves out all over the ferry, taking tables on the main deck, upper deck, bar, and the sun deck. As we sailed by Tiburon and Angel Island, we could see the blanket of fog covering the Golden Gate Bridge and the tall San Francisco sky-scrapers. But as we neared AT&T Park the fog had lifted and we had a clear view of the park.

We disembarked and made our way to section 314 in the Upper View Level. There all 50 of us sat together and watched a very exciting game between two arch rivals, the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was a full house with over 43,000 screaming fans. Hot Dogs! Cotton Candy! Cold Beer! Peanuts! Ice Cream! We had it ALL. The game was tied at 7-7 in the bottom of the 9th inning and went to the 12th inning before the Dodgers pulled out an 8-7 win over the Giants.

We had a great view and a fun day. On our way back we all started planning next years REME Day in SF. We will plan a REME Mini Day & Giants Day for a weekend in SF next summer. This will be an overnighter with visits to China Town, Fisherman's Warf, a evening Mini run (including the crookedest street, Treasure Island, Twin Peaks, Ocean Beach), Coit Tower, a cable car ride, a Giants game, and more. So plan to join us for next summer's Mini Weekend in SF.
