Wife hit a coyote last week coming home from work. $800+ worth of damage. Car was still drivable though. Cracked the front bumper cover, broke the driver's side fog light, fender flare and side marker, cracked the core support and bent the horn. All this from a coyote??

 

yah, coyote only suffered death.

Naw...Haven't you seen the cartoons??? The coyote just shook it off and started chasing the Road Runner again....

 

Don't feel too bad Mini B. Way back in 2003, I hit a wild coyote travelling around 70 mph at night time.

It's quite a scary sight watching a large black object leaping out from the woods down a steep bank a split second before impact. It tore half the bumper loose, cracked my winshield, busted a xenon headlight, and dented my bonnet.

With my knees shaking, I pulled over and got out of the car to inspect. After seeing the extent of the damage, I called the police and got a police report (for insurance).

The bodyshop estimate was $1800 and it ended up being just over $2000.

 

Bummer....but I'm sure you will be motoring very soon.

Glad to hear you wife wasn't hurt....good thing it wasn't a deer - might have been a lot more damage..

Did your wife get the insurance info from the coyote?
