How many Cooper vs. Cooper-S MINI's on this forum?

I have been really curious. It seems that I can count on my fingers how many Coopers there are but the Cooper-S's are un-countable.

Prove me wrong and post what you have. I will edit this first post daily with the new tallies.

As of 11/21/2006 10:26 AM West Coast Time
Forum MINI Count
MINI COOPER: 58

MINI COOPER-S: 84

Total Posts: 152
Total Car Count Posts: 127 (Includes those that have multiple MINI's)
Total Multiple MINI or MINI-S Owners: 10

Also does anyone have production numbers by year of how many S vs. non S MINI's that were produced?

Thanks chows4us --> http://www.gbmini.net/sales.shtml

Wow, the Cooper started off strong and then the last two years the Cooper-S really started taking over. I will add an S to my collection one day but currently it is a Cooper for me.

Total 2002-2006 (Includes Convertibles)

Cooper: 82,281
Cooper-S: 84,890

cooper here.

why don't u try to put up a poll? It would have to handle people who have both a MC and MCS though.

I was actually looking for that option but did not see it.

It's ok for now. Although I agree it would be easier.

I will not buy a CooperS. Great car....great value....like Coopers better. I like the way they drive.

You are right...lots more MCS owners here, same on other forums from what I can tell. I think there are perhaps more MCS "enthusiasts" in general, although one should never discount the good number of Cooper owners who are diehard enthusiasts, too (and maybe for different reasons). Makes the community better, imo.

I like to see die hard Cooper owners. Cooper's can be just as fun in their own way. I figure one day I would like to own one of each to enjoy the subtleties that make each one a great car.

Unscientific? Yes
Fun? Yes

We have the total number of MINI's made, it will be fun just to see how closely the forum member represent the population who have bought MINI's and MINI-S's.

So far it is looking pretty close and I was expecting the MINI-S total to eclipse the MINI total. It may still happen but so far the MINI's are in the lead.
