Factory Alarm- How good is it?

My MCS is scheduled to be built next week, and I just realized that I did not order the optional alarm. I guess my question is could it still be added and if so is it worth it or would I be better off with an after market system?

do a quick search - the OEM alarm is an easy install (car is prewired from the factory). You will just have to have the dealer program it.

I had a factory alarm. Then my car got broken into. So I got a better one. A two-way pager by Viper. Works great and isnt too sensative.
