After a 7 week wait I finally picked up my AB/AB (Solar Red) Cooper S today! It's got: sport package, MFSW, moonroof, anthracite headliner, chrono and LSD. I couldn't be happier.

 

CONGRATS!!!!! I waited eight weeks for mine. hmmmm. ;-)

Thanks, I was so sad to see my Solar Red Cooper go that I had the mirror caps painted SR in it's honor.

Yeah, I had the dealer paint them before I took delivery. The picture doesn't really do it justice, they look amazing. The sparkely red really compliments the sparkely black.


No, I was thinking about it but I went with all black leatherette. The dash and trim is anthracite so the whole interior is pretty dark, it looks really good.

Congrats and I like the mirrors. I too have an AB/AB and put white mirrors on it. It's different.

Now all you need are Solar Red stripes.

 

.......or luckier in that we got some of the last of a great run. People can say what they want, that we are justifying our purchase because OMG, the value's going to drop when the 07's come out; like we made a dumb mistake! We made a careful choice knowing whats out there and what's to come! I'm confident that as the years go by that people will look back and appreciate that our little supercharged four banger with its distinctive sound is a special engine in a specially designed car.(and not designed to cut costs) Now get outta here and Motor!
