R50/53 Stone Chip Guards
Stone Chip Guards
Hi,
Anyone using the Stone Chip Guards?
http://outmotoring.com/mini_cooper_s...ip_guards.html
Does the paint in front of the rear wheels take a beating. Seems a simple fix if that's the case.
( don't know for myself, cause I'm patiently waiting for my MCS to arrive in late November...

Those front mud/stone guards really have cut down on my chips and spraybacks.
I have the magnetic ones for the rear panels, too, but feel they are more for looks than for anything else. I have also heard that they will damage the paint if left on the car, due to the vibrations and dirt that gets underneath them.

I have had them since the day I got Maggie and have never taken them off. I kind of like the look they give to the Cabrio - sweeping the line of the wheel wells up at a different angle....
The guards, however, have shown no damage so I kind of doubt that they are protecting a particularly troublesome damage spot.
