100,000 Mile Count Down.

So, I have decided to keep a log of my cars Miles and let everyone know how many miles I put on, where I go, ect. I will update it everyday, til I reach a 100k miles. I will be using my 2002 cooper since it is my daily driver. Right now it stands at 36,668 miles. Ill take a picture in a few to show this.
Thanks Everyone!
MOTOR ON!

I have a feeling about this...

I think this is going to make your 100k the longest freakin 100k ever! It's like watching a pot of water waiting for it to boil. If it makes things more enjoyable to you though, by all means share it with us.
Power to the MINI!

Any 100,000+ miler MINI yet?

I'm looking at a high-mileage mini and trying to figure out how much they seem to run to...

Hmm... I seem to have lost track of survey tools, but I'll propose some scenarios, and you chime in with your own or what you think matches.

Are they just so cute that nobody has driven past a hundred grand yet?

Are they incredibly robust, but its only the internet illiterate crowd that has had time to Motor on up to 100,000?

Are they polluted by some Ford gene and quit fairly rapidly?

Are they so new to North America that I am looking on the wrong forum?

There is plenty of people on here that have had a mini passed 100k. Some have had 2 mini's past a 100k. Just do a search. They seam to be pretty durable. (knock on wood) I wouldn't even come close to comparing it to a ford (Found on Road Dead) Look at the 1st. Gen Problems and Issues forum to get an idea of some of the problems. As long as you get a high mileage mini that someone has taken care of, you shouldn't have a problem. Good Luck

Update: Half Way There 51,850

MINI's past 100k

I personally know of a MINI that has surpasssed 150k and it's being autocrossed every month and has been autocrossed every month for years. It still gets taken very good care of though.
Cheers to the MINI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are not in the wrong forum.I agree they are very robust and I'm somewhat literate. No bad genes in any of my past MINI's(or current).Did I mention I've logged just shy of 300K trouble free(no BS) miles since 2003? Oh I forgot it's in my sig.

Motor On!
